Experienced and Caring Arborists
Ladybug Arborists has been in business since 2012 and won the 2013 Chinook Entrepreneur Challenge. Owner/operator Maureen Sexsmith-West has been involved in tree care since 1996 and is a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture (certificate PR-4600A).
Beginning with golf course maintenance, she eventually shifted her focus to trees and earned her ISA certification in 2003. In 2010 she was named Lethbridge Gardener of the Year.
Today, she strives for continuing education and can lay claim to being the most highly qualified tree care specialist in the Lethbridge region. In addition to being an ISA Certified Arborist, Maureen is also an ISA-Qualified Tree Risk Assessor and a qualified tree appraiser.
Maureen is the chair for the ISA Prairie Chapter Conference in Oct. 2015, involved in the Lethbridge Heritage Tree Registry, a judge for Alberta Communities in Bloom. She also is an active member in a number of business and service groups as well as horticulture and arboricultural organizations.

Ladybug Arborists also supports in-kind products and services such as the Campus Roots Community Garden, the Coaldale Community Garden, and the Interfaith Garden.
They are fully covered by $2 million in liability insurance and employees are covered by WCB. They have an incident-free record and employees go through extensive and ongoing training in all aspects of our work, so you can rest assured that the work done for you will be done diligently and safely with the latest technology and research behind it.

Your Account
We maintain detailed records which assist us in tracking the varieties of trees/shrubs and services provided on your site from year-to-year.
Established customers may receive annual proposals for work recommended for the upcoming calendar year as part of an ongoing program. We maintain records for annual inspection purposes on all sites where tree stabilization systems have been installed.
We strive to keep our customers informed of new products/services, developments in the industry or insects/diseases which can significantly impact the particular species of trees in their care. When new, serious threats are identified, we can identify clients with potential host trees and act proactively.
If a situation has arisen which has changed the condition or health of your tree(s), please contact us so we can investigate the cause and recommend a remedy.
